First Check-Up

Molly had her first check up today.  Lily Grace has been so excited about it. She has been taking Molly's care very serious.  Before leaving home, she made sure she had something for Molly to chew on while we waited for the vet to see her.  (Lily Grace also picked this chew toy out for Molly on a recent shopping trip and brought it home to "surprise" her.  She reminds Molly all the time that it is her favorite toy. HA!)  She was also very good at telling Molly she was alright and that she shouldn't be scared while getting her shots.  

Molly did great!  She welcomed all the attention and rubs.  She was happy to reciprocate with lots of wags and licks. 

Before leaving, Lily Grace asked Dr. Widdopp for a picture with her and Molly to remember their first visit.  Lily Grace is really learning a lot about caring for a puppy.  We are so proud of her.  Molly can't wait for her to get up each morning and Lily Grace insist on a goodnight kiss from her.  Must be puppy love. Too cute!

Meet Molly: Love at First Sight

Meet Molly, the newest addition to our family.  She was named by Lily Grace and we welcomed Molly home earlier this afternoon.  She is just 9 weeks old and absolutely adorable.  Lily Grace is smitten with her, as we all are.  We have had the best time getting to know her today.

After a fun-filled afternoon with Molly, here is what we know about her.  She likes to cuddle and have her belly rubbed.  She LOVES ball of any size, even those larger than her.  Speaking of her size, she will attempt to carry anything, regardless of size.  (That can be pretty funny.)  She has the sweetest personality.  Oh!  And by the way, the thing we know better than any other is this:  We are in love!  
As I type this post, both girls have played themselves out.  All is  quiet as both are tucked into their beds and our house once again feels full.

Welcome!

Welcome to our new blog.  You may be wondering about the title, but you really need not put too much thought into it.  Laundry is one of my all time least favorite things to do. Unfolded laundry always seems to be something that can wait and before you know it, you are digging to the bottom of a basket for something to wear.  When I was trying to think of a new name for our blog, I happen to walk into the laundry room and there it was, staring me in the face....a full basket.  (ok really two but I'm trying not to seem like a terrible housekeeper.)  
When you think about it, life is a lot like a load of unfolded laundry, it can pile things up on you, force you to do things you don't want to do, bring you much joy (you know like when all is folded and put away..at least until tomorrow) and surprise you, like when  you finally find the mate to the sock that has alluded you for so long.  
Well.....I'm off to take care of some a lot of laundry....maybe!

Rootin-Tootin Cowgirl

This past week Lily Grace enjoyed "Western Day" at preschool.  She was so excited and could be heard Yee-hawing long before going to school and after it was over. Too cute!!
